Since I have room underneath my vfhicle - just curious due to small Fram #9688 filter size if there is a slightly larger oil filter size with more filter media which exists with same threading , fit and relief valve pressure as a Fram #9688 ? I had successfully upsized the filter on an older in-line Jeep oil filter with good results .

Fram 3593A is a little longer, approx 0.3 inch? 9688 is 3.08 height, 3593A is 3.39 height. 9688 is listed as 9-15 psi, 3593A is listed as 12, psi so basically similar bypass pressure. Gasket dimensions are the same, as is can OD. Both M20x1.5 thread.
