This ran across my feed today. Looks to be a nice truck, big tires and lift but 300000 miles. Normal pricing in other places or is the seller dreaming?

There is the scenario that something is "For Sale" because they really want to or need to divest themselves from it.
Then there is the "For Sale" if someone is willing to pay them stupid money for it.
This offering appears to be the latter.

That OBS F350 is highly prized by some. If it has the 7.3 Powerstroke even more so. High miles or not. An un-rotted body and frame are a bigger concern.

They just might find a buyer.

I sold a '97 4Runner for ridiculous money over five years ago. It was a highly desirable unicorn for 3rd gen 4Runner fans. The buyer knew what it was, and wanted it BAD. He paid a ridiculously high price for it, as I had no desire to sell. But was willing to sell at the price the buyer offered. I have no regrets, and I never heard from the buyer again, so I assume he's happy too.

I see alot of comments here from people not in the rust belt. 80's and 90's trucks are getting sought after and considering they don't exist anymore in the rust belt....people are willing to pay big money.

If this had less than 100k miles on it I could see it fetch this price on Bring-a-trailer.com. But considering the mileage, $15k is more like it.

BUT....you guys down in TX or CA can just drive around the block and find one of these that are still running and in good shape. Up here in New England.... these dissolved 15 years ago!

Wasn't there a Chevette on here for $30,000 not long ago. These are some crazy times that we're living in.

The truck does look pretty cherry and there are many who are willing to pay for the mods.
The miles are insane, though, unless everything that wears mechanically and cosmetically (interior) has already been replaced.

Why would you spend big bucks when it's just gonna rot out in you?

Most buyers of a truck like that here, will make sure it won't see winter here again. I saw a couple nice 60's F100's today, just someone's summer truck, and lots of older trucks come out once the salt is washed off the roads.
A buddy just bought a late 90's Dodge Ram, 4x4, quad-cab 8' bed with a cummins and manual transmission, also with spaceship miles on it, but its all rebuildable I guess, and pretty simple to fix. It's had the cab and box off and all the rust taken care of and repainted. His plan is to undercoat it and run it forever.
