Looking for a set of tires, don't have a ton of ca$h. The Michelin Defender series isn't garnering any favor with me given the consistent negative reviews in snow and MPG loss.

Nothing at TireRack to read about, yet, on this model.

What do you all think of the Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring NT?

Uniroyal and Goodrich are both brands made by Michelin. Quality of construction should be first class. FWIW

That tread looks exactly like the regular tiger paw touring they sell at walmart. A very good "generic" tire. The WM version is my summer tire on my HHR, no complaints, and even ok in the snow. Long wearing.

I got Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWPs for my S-10 last spring. I have over 8k on them so far....would I get them again? Yes.

What size tire are you looking for? Gotta make sure that anything we recommend is actually available in the size you need.

Hopefully the Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum and/or Dunlop SP Sport Signature is made in your size.

Cool! So unfortunately, neither of those two tires I suggested above seem to come in that size.

What is the OE speed rating?

Here are some suggestions, in no particular order
(speed rating in parentheses)
Falken ZE-612 (H) (Discount Tire exclusive)
General Altimax RT43 (T)
Dunlop Signature II (T)

These two are actually "truck tires"
Pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S (V)
Yokohama Geolandar ATS (H)
