I have a new Toro S4 with the toro 159CC engine and a new Generac 6022 pressure washer with the 196cc generac horizontal shaft engine. The OM for both say 10w30 or SAE30 but I know many people use a 40wt with great results
I have all of these oils at my disposal, price does not matter as we have a lot of these already on the farm

JD Plus50II
10w30 or 0w40 (0w40 is almost all PAO)

Rotella HD30, 10w30
Rotella T5 10w30 or 10w40
Rotella T6 5w40
Delo LE 5w40

Should I be worried about a 10w30 burning off in temps above 80F? Thats the reason why I want to use an all season oil like 10w30 or 0/5w40.
I'm leaning torward the Plus 50II as it has one heck of an additive package. Thoughts?

if that 10w30 you have is by deere it wont burn at all. I would use the 10w30 or the 15w40 either or will be great. I use 15w40 in my deere 102 and it runs better with it. Turf Guard 10w30 or Plus50II 15w40 are both great oils, i mainly use those oils myself

Plus50II 10w30 is one of the oils I listed..

Rotella 10w30, or the Rotella T5 (semi-syn) 10w30 in the silver jug.

Sometimes, 15w40 can be too heavy in OPE.... it was for me in Illinois in the winter.

That's why I didn't list any 15w40s only 0/5w40s.

No point using a syn because ope tends to dilute the oil with fuel,in my equipment anyways.
I use rotella simply because I can get 5 gallon pails fairly cheap and I run the oil for around 100 hours. By then the oil level has increased due to fuel and it convenient because I can do all the servicing on the equipment on pay weekends when the guys have the entire weekend off.

I use Mobil 1 10w30 in all of my OPE. I don't have any problems with oil consumption even in the extreme temps we have here. Last summer we hit 100-109 many times.

The John Deere Plus 50II 10W30 seems like it is on the thick side of a 10w30 if I am interpreting their data correct (DNewton???):

Viscosity @ 40°C.................86.6 cSt
Viscosity @ 100°C................12.1 cSt
HTHS .............................3.6
