For me it was an ancient tough guard filter for my now gone Camry. What’s the oldest oil filter you folks have used?

My friend's grandpa has an old old supertech with rust on the baseplate and a bunch of assorted orange cans. No idea what they go to but they have yet to be used 😉

Probably 5-6 years old Fram Ultra's? Someone was giving them away and the boxes were old, so I ran them in our CRV, and then had one left, so I did a change on the 2018 Outback with it, for the summer where the low pressure by-pass probably wouldn't matter as much?

I used a mustard-grip PureOne last year on the cousin's CR-V, that had to be about a decade old...

Previously it was 10 year old clearance red AAP Totalgrip.

If you or he doesn’t want to use them I’d gladly post pics of them or cut them apart for the BITOG faithful. PM me if interested
what's the best cut method? i don't have a dedicated filter cutter but I have a hacksaw and an angle grinder

The fram XG8A has been on my 99 Caravan for 4.5 years. I only drive about 3,000 miles/year. I should change it this fall. I have another old XG made in 2022 that will probably see the same 5 years of use.

Probably on an old John Deere tractor. Don't remember what kind it was. Filter likely bought at the local farm co-op. I was about 12 years old back then. That makes the filter >60. Might still be on that tractor.

Something like this one;

I've got a 2012 Purolater synthetic filter I'm debating whether to use on my F-150... I think that might be to old. Its one of the blue ones with the stippled paint all over. Was a RA closeout deal a while back.

I believe my father (80 y/o) still has AC Delco PF35's on the shelf in the basement for the SB350's he used to build back in the late 70's and throughout the 80's. He still uses them I think.

Had a "Tech 2000" oil filter from the late 1980's that was bought from Wal-Mart back then. Was the house brand before "SuperTech" came along. Used it on a beater 1992 Ford F150 with the 300 I6 around 2017. Must have been 25+ years old. Seem to do fine.

Does it cross to a 14670? I’d run it on the Dakota in a heartbeat.
