Who knows... most of the time we never let an engine get there.

I'm just hoping to get 300K out of my dad's 94 intrepid (he wasn't using it and I figured I'd put it to work.)

Aside from the transmission slipping here and there, everything else on the vehicle works. I put about $300 worth of work into it and it could use new shocks all around but other than that... engine is still working great.

I'll say maybe and I'll tell you why. I consider the Toyota 3.4L V6 (and the 2.4L 4cyl) some of the finest engines every built and I personally know delivery drivers here in CO that have the current mileages on their odos with no rebuilds, except the 2.4L had a rebuilt top end . All of them run synthetic or synth blends and oci under 10k. I'll get pictures one of these days. Most of these will rust out or get wrecked before 1M miles.

(I have 113k on my 2002 Tacoma 3.4L which is driven 1-2 times a month. The Corolla gets twice the gas mileage.)

530,000 miles 1999 Toyota 4Runner 3.4L V6
575,000 miles 1996 Toyota Tacoma 3.4L V6
650,000 miles 1992 Toyota Truck 2.4L 4Cyl
