For one, you need to properly pack the gallons before shipping, my two gallons basically came loose in the cardboard box. This allowed them to move around and could have been much more easily damaged (they weren't by the way, I didn't have any issues, but I was surprised they weren't).
Secondly, you could also put the containers in a plastic bag, that way if they leaked a little, they wouldn't damage the box and cause potential further damage.
These are both low, low cost solutions. Good luck.
