I have the 32oz jug with the measuring cup on top, really makes it easier to measure LC for those 1K mile doses.

My bottle made it a few months before bloating in summer heat cause it to begin to weap, it was not a shipping thing.

I wonder if the little red "Caplugs"(R) that are being used for container shipping may be part of the problem or perhaps just revealing a bad batch of bottles- they do seem to wedge in there pretty tight...

What the LC/FP gallon jugs need is the little aluminum foil seal that you get on windshield washer jugs. That ought to work right?

We have searched and searched for an answer the this leaking problem. The red caplugs have reduce leaking complaints alot but it is obviously not the complete answer we want.

We have researched hours for foil seals, but cannot find anything without having to use a heat induction machine which is not not feasible for us right now.

Any suggestions please let us know.

For one, you need to properly pack the gallons before shipping, my two gallons basically came loose in the cardboard box. This allowed them to move around and could have been much more easily damaged (they weren't by the way, I didn't have any issues, but I was surprised they weren't).

Secondly, you could also put the containers in a plastic bag, that way if they leaked a little, they wouldn't damage the box and cause potential further damage.

These are both low, low cost solutions. Good luck.

Rich

Caps with some high-tech gasket material for a liner? Cork? Just a thought...

I do know that using alpha-cyanoacrylate "super" glue on the seams fixed my problems. The containers did not leak in shipping, however.

This is indeed a real puzzler.

lube control guys there is a cap made with the foil already in it and upon assembly the cap then "seals" as it tightens down will not leak and works with petroleum distilates/isopar etc.

email me and I will get company name and info for you.

Both of my bottles of LC20 and FP60 also leaked. I noticed that they had extreme air pressure built up inside (I live at an elevation of 5000ft above sea level). I believe that you need to remove as much air as possible before shipping. This way, the bottle will have room to expand and perhaps not leak.

What about a rubberized coating like you find in the cap of a 20oz. pop bottle? Or a styrofoam disc like on the jug of car soap?

I just my gallon of FP60 the other day and put about 7oz. in 16 gallons of fuel. Wow! I can't believe the difference.

The engine runs so much smoother and acceleration is much smoother too. A big difference too was cruising at 65mph on the highway, the engine was noticeably smoother there too and felt like it had a lot more power.

I don't think this improvement is due solely to any cleaning effect because I just run through a bottle of Red Line SR-1 fuel system cleaner which made an improvement too but the FP60 is making it even better. I wonder if my mileage will improve too. I used to use Lucas UCL and really didn't notice much difference with it.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Much appreciated.

We have looked into many of the suggestions above, but cannot seem to locate an answer. Most self sealing cap liners are disolved by FP60.

We will look into bruce's suggestion and see if we can locate a self sealing foil cap.

Thanks again and keep the ideas coming.

Jeff
