Both of my bottles of LC20 and FP60 also leaked. I noticed that they had extreme air pressure built up inside (I live at an elevation of 5000ft above sea level). I believe that you need to remove as much air as possible before shipping. This way, the bottle will have room to expand and perhaps not leak.

Any idea on how to remove the air? We are unaware of a way to do this and cap it at the same time.

We are willing to try.

Well, you could always add a couple more ounces of product

. Or, you could try to squeeze the jug progressively as you are capping it. You will spill some product as you do that, but there will be no air. There will also be some displaceable volume in the jug should the fluid expand from heat. Does this make sense?

My dispenser bottles both leak, so what I do is sqeeze them before capping. The vaccuum seems to minimize leakage, and it will never get charged with pressure if in the sun.

maybe you can put your container in an airtight apparatus that has something to create a vacuum to suck out the air? my chemistry teacher used something like that to show us how to puff up marshmallows, boil water, and inflate a balloon.

I just bought 2 bottles of FP60.
I got the 32 oz bottle (to get the dispensor feature) and the 1 gallon bottle.
Product arrived just fine.

Air in the bottle will give room for expansion as the liquid expands / contracts due to temperature variation. Fuid will not compress...but air will. Some air in the bottle will reduce stress on the bottle.
To reduce pressure in the bottle....starting out with some vaccum....one could try a simple press onto the side of the bottle as the lid is put on. Should not be real hard to do with automated capping equipment. Of course...in the winter....there will be a decrease in the temperature during shippment.
If the product is eating the seal on the bottle....that is a separate issue.

I bought the FP60 product based upon my reading on THIS site.
I was using Redline Complete Fuel System cleaner in a maintenance dose before.
My first dose of FP60 was in the 3 oz per 5 gallon level.
Today, I put in 1 oz per 5 gallon.
The first tank seemed to give me very smooth running...but how much is in my head....who knows?...as the engine was running fine before.

I cannot give any fuel economy information as much of the driving is 10 minutes to and from work each day. I only check mileage when I am driving on a trip....as that is the only thing that is accurate....especially in the winter....add to that...winter formulation with the oxygenated (ethanal) gasoline we have here.
I am looking to keep my 10 year old vehicle running in best shape I can.

My co-workers make a hobby out of buying new cars.... I make a hobby out of keeping a car running longer.... Better places to spend money....than a new vehilcle....if I don't have to.

Amen!

I just ordered my first FP60 bottle as well. I can only hope is cleans the fuel system well. I will report on mileage as I do 60 miles a day in travel.

The old white painted label gallon bottles that FP used to come in did not leak. I still have an old gallon jug and I keep refilling it from the new one. I suspect that the customer did not like the solid white bottle. They want to see the color of the additive and how much is left.

I would go back to the old white painted label bottles.

my take i use 2 oz of lucas per 13 oz of gasoline with 4 oz acetone. acetone 8.89 per gallon at wally lucas 18.79 per gallon at federated auto stores here in WISCONSIN. Very economical mix.

I noticed better acceleration on both my 87 lumina and 2001 hyundai santa fe. Slight gas (about 2) gains on both. When i switched to cenex 87 unleaded no ethanol blend, i have now averaged over 29 mpg on last four fillups on the lumina and over 28 on santa fe. I have owned the sante since 48k. Never recored over 25 before acetone lucas mix. Vehicle now has over 103k. Owned lumina since 122k and never recorded over 26. SO MY PERSONAl exp has been three miles consitent. I have filled up same pump same station. The driving route has been basically the same for both. I am sure FP does wonders but i am very happy with this under .40 cent dose. With gas prices at 2.39 and my vehicle running better I am pleased with the results. I have heard the good and bad about Acetone but i tried it myself and am pleased. On non-ethanol gas i think it has def merit. One american made vehicle and one korean made vehicle. IMHO

I am sure fp is great but this serves me as the 1/2 half of the mola brew. For the neutra and fp part and is cheaper.

The other 1/2 i still do the LC and 132 mix.

Jeff,
FP and LC work, have two rigs that have been helped...
Honda 4 cyl DOHC VTEC's just love the combination...
feed the ethanol to the hogs...my engines hate the garbage gas...FP does help this winter crap gas...

the leakage problem is the UPS gorilla problem...nothing including an M1A2 Abramms will withstand the way UPS throws shipments around...company could probably give the knuckle draggers a $5 an hour raise if it weren't for all the shipping damage loss....
