He was hilarious in that Police Squad? movie. That was before all the other drama.

I take no pleasure in the death of any man, but it is hard to feel very sorry for him either.

Wow dude...
Last week you told me to drop dead didn't you?

It was his son. He fell on the sword for him.
William Dear's hypothesis is compelling and it's bizarre that the official investigation never turned towards OJ's oldest son. He had a history of drug use, mental health issues like fits of rage and violence, a criminal record, he was a cook for Nicole Simpson without an alibi. At the night of the murder Nicole was supposed to have dinner at the restaurant where Jason Simpson was working as a cook. She canceled to go somewhere else. Jason claimed he had been working that night but could supposedly not produce an alibi. And yet he wasn't investigated. What's his glove size? I'm not saying he did it but he should have been investigated.

Wish he confessed on his death bed
He basically did in his book. Robert Kardashian (one of OJ's defense attorneys and good friend) said before his death that he had lots of doubts about him being innocent. There was a lot of DNA evidence at the scene and beyond, but of course his defense played the "it was all planted" card.

Certainly is, and IMO a father would certainly try to protect his son at all costs. Especially if he hired an impressive legal team to give enough reasonable doubt and put on public display the incomptence of not only the LAPD but the DA's office.

Assuming he was really the killer (If you don't believe please ignore, just academic analysis):

He could have handled the situation better and just file for divorce. This is started a whole mess of his life and everyone else's life, stirring up racial problems for everyone involved, bankrupted some jurors who couldn't get back to their normal lives paying more than juror fees, etc.

He could have ruined his wife and his wife's boyfriend's life by other legal means, or just focus on a better life himself, than letting his emotion get to him. He could have just live a happy life instead.

This is also my first lesson in "law can be bought" if you have money and a good lawyer as a kid.

Interesting how many notorious people who spent time in prison then die of cancer.

Jack Ruby
John Gotti
OJ Simpson
1 in 7 people die of cancer. 1 in 6 die of heart disease. OJ had diabetes. About 70% of diabetics die of CVD including stroke. Diabetics also have an increased risk for many types of cancer. Interestingly, prostate cancer is less common in diabetics and that's what presumably killed OJ. CKD is another common comorbidity.

Don't go to prison, kids. The food sucks and you don't want to share a cell with Bubba.

All they had to do was convince the jury that DNA was "funny science".
That's the irony. OJ and his team of lawyers paid big money to Barry Scheck and the other DNA expert to basically throw DNA science under the bus as unreliable and suspect. Sort of like paying Neil Armstrong to testify that the moon landing was faked.
