What is the Oil the has the most ZDDP in it , Rotella and Delo have been modified as of January 2007 with less Zinc.
One of the oils I can come up with that has the most Zinc in it is the "brad penn" oil , are there any other oils that are good for older "flat tappet" engines or are there additives to add to the new oil. I am looking for Zinc levels above 1400 , thanks.

It's not cheap, but Maxima products are all over that mark with ZDDP. They make standard petroleum based, a 50/50 blend (checking the MSDS sheets, it is half and half), and two levels of full synthetic.

Brad Penn that you mentioned is very good as well, and I have used both.

Redline has a whole lot of zddp, but I think you want something more conventional. Try Valvoline VR1 Racing Oil. This is a streetable racing oil and, check the Valvo site product info, but IIRC it has around 1200 ppm zinc, which is a very good number. Comes in 10w30 and 20w50 (blend the two to get 15w40), also SAE 30, 40, 50, and 60.

Amsoil AMO 10w40 has 1300+ I believe.

I have decided to make a fortune by selling a 100% Zinc engine vitamin supplement to end all concern.

I seriously think that a company would make a KILLING on an engine oil marketed and designed SPECIFICALLY for flat tappet engines. I mean, flat-out super high ZDDP and no doubt about it. Non-street legal, who cares. ANYONE LISTENING? How many guys do you think would buy this stuff?

Like...

Amsoil FTO (Flat Tappet Oil)

Amsoil MUSCLE CAR and STREET ROD "Old school engine formula"

Gimme it please.

The Oil Companies should have informed the owners of the older cars with a label on the oil bottles saying "Caution this new oil will ruin your older Engines" the oil companies should be liable for the repair of all the Engines with Bad/Flat cam lobes , sounds harsh , they cost the consumers a lot of money.

basicly except the race and classic car guys how many cars built late80s or earlier aren still on the road?

It pertains more to aftermarket cams. There are thousands of Jeep 2.5L and 4.0L's running around on SM oil. They're still ok.

Penrite issued a tech bulletin on SM oils and older cars.

In the UK Classic cars oils are readily available, so must be a market for them in UK.
