Please recommend an engine oil to me.
* 2008 Hyundai Sonata GLS, 2.4L
* Hyundai recommends 5W-20, and I want to stick to that.
* Hyundai recommends API SJ, SL or above, ILSAC GF-3 or above.
* Hyundai recommends an OCI of 7,500 miles for normal, and 3,750 miles for severe (which I fall under).
* I live in NC where winter temps occasionally dip to the teens (Fahrenheit), and summers are in the 90s much of the time.
* I have somewhat of a lead foot, not terribly bad though, and I'm trying to be better about it.
* I make lots of REALLY short trips.
* No known issues with this car.
* I'd prefer a single product. I know some may recommend using different products in summer/winter, but that runs counter to my neurosis.
* I like changing my oil frequently. I have no desire or expectation to use a long OCI.
* I know this car would do fine with conventional oil, but I'd be more comfortable with synthetic. It's that neurosis again.
* I would much prefer store-bought.
Thank you in advance for any helpful replies.
