oil recommendation for SC`d 5.6 V8?

just looking for your opinions of what oil to run in a supercharged application for daily street driving.
A high quality synthetic is recommended with OCI`s set at 3,000 miles.
currently there is Amsoil signature series 5w30 in now.
I could probably go with M1 or even the Amsoil XL series being it will get changed often and not under severe conditions all the time.

what say you?

3k on synthetic, why? Mobil 1, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, Castrol, whatever meets your manufacturer specs and is on sale...

How is the SC lubed? from general sump or own reservoir?

Id worry more about trans.

Mobil 1 ESP formula M or Shell Helix Ultra or any good Mb 229.51 list ACEA.

Forget ILSAC economy oils.

recommended OCI by the SC manufacturer. I`ll most likely do a used oil analysis after 3 K and see where it is at... this is not a drag race truck. just a nice daily driver.

yup , trans and rear are taken care of. the SC is not the only mod, there are many support mods in place along with UPrev software running the truck.

still need to go with an oil for the DVVT.

If you don't get your foot in it much, I'd say 5w30 M1 or any other quality name brand synthetic should be fine. If you start driving it harder - go thicker ---- 0W-40, 5W-40 or 15W-50. With an SC motor, heat isn't the problem like with a turbo. Bearing loads under stress are what I'd worry about. Always make sure the oil is good and warm (150F+) before you start getting aggressive with the throttle.

+1 M1-15-50 ...because even if you don't think you're going to stomp the pedal ...you might want to. Bearing loads is on the money.

I use Mobil 1 0W-40 in a Rotrex (Centrifugal type) Supercharged 4-cylinder Mazda, moderate boost pressure, 7400 RPM rev limited, 5K OCI. The Supercharger itself has it's own sealed sump and a 24 month OCI. I drive it like I stole it; the motor sees 7 grand regularly. No issues.
