I use to be a hard core M1 fan till I tried Amsoil and was in love!
Anyways, I am going to be ordering another case of oil and would like to get something a bit better grade to help with fuel milege and wear.
I am using Amsoil 5w30 right now, and have some clatter in the engine at start up which supposely is common in this engine of my truck when we use 5w30. People said they don't have this problem when they use 0w40 or 5w40. Now I can use Amsoil weights of those and one is recommended for 4 stroke engines but can be used in gas engines.
The first factory oil always got me 15+ mpg. The 2nd dealer change made it drop to 13-14 mpg. Then I went to Amsoil and have been a steady 14-15mpg.
The vehicle is a 04 Nissan Titan. What do you guys recommend for weights. Do you recommend M1 over Amsoil with the new ones out now before I order a case? I also drive about 100 miles a day stop n go driving. Lot's of stops. I do service calls around town for customers.
