Oil recommendation for '08 Civic Si

Have read many accolades for Redline in K20 motors.

When I had my 07 K20Z3, it really liked Kendall 5W30 synblend and Mobil 1 Extended Performance with an Mobil 1 Extended Performance filter.

IMO just use what the manual recommends. You aren't running any crazy modifications so the recommended weight should be fine.

M1 or Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 is all you need, winter or summer. Period. Mixing two different brands of oil to achieve some mythical optimal viscosity strikes me as madness.

My dad has a '07 Si and we run whatever is on sale. Mobil 1 5w30, Pennzoil Platinum 5w30, etc.. how much make up oil are you adding between changes. We live in NJ so we get how summers and cold winters. We add easily 1 quart between 1000 miles.

I never added oil between changes.
