The car is currently running on Pakelo 5W40, what the Ferrari dealer is using at this time. I plan on getting a used oil analysis when I hit 1,000 miles on it. Then I plan to use 0W30 RLI:

It's funny how foreign companies "qualify" their products in the US by saying "look, they use our product".

The Krypton is advertising MB 229.5 performance level, but lists a NOACK over 10.

Is this a well known brand in your corner of world? I'm surprised the Ferrari dealer isn't using some Shell oil, lol!

"you’re living in the past sir. TGMO 0W16 or bust"
Maybe some day, we shall see. I will start with the 30 grade and see how it goes. Then I will probably go to a 20 grade. Eventually I will then go back to the original oil as a baseline test as somebody suggested once. (The thick stuff will certainly hurt but it won't kill me).

I never heard of this brand in the US before. I have not asked Ferrari why they are now using this oil instead of the Shell. If I remember the manual is recommending Shell 5W40 but the dealer is using the Pakelo instead.

The required yearly oil change is coming up so I am limited unless I go on some trip. Generally it's to the office and around town like to dinner or Home Depot or the like. Ferrari provides 7 years of free yearly maintenance for their cars.

I had to look up Pakelo. First time I’ve seen it mentioned here. Made in Italy.

I wonder if they use olive derived esters?
