oil for a marine 351w?

I would probably go with an actual Marine 25-40 for that as I suspect you won't be lightly cruising a mastercraft, if not then M1 15-50 would be decent and Royal Purple has an HPS line of oils that have high ZDDP levels (maybe their 10-40 HPS would be good). My larger concern would be the gimbal bearing and outdrive oil.
Given it's a MasterCraft I expect it's an inboard with a transmission and a prop shaft and prop.

Thanks for the info!

There’s going to be a good bit of barefooting that’s going to be happening 😂.
Atta boy. Like someone else said, the stock 240 horse 351 doesn’t really make enough power to hurt itself. Just keep it cool and full of good oil and let it rip !

Update: I’m running M1 Delvac Extreme 15w40 for the time being. As for the future, it’s still up in the air. I may go to ST or Providence oil, but chances are I’ll stick with the Delvac. If the zinc levels were higher, I would happily run Valvoline Blue or T6. I will most likely run a PGI filter, whether that be PG branded, the new M1s, or the like.

Just an FYI, but the Fleetguard Stratapore filter is an excellent option for this application, that's what we run on ours.
