Oil consumption and the end of an OCI

I was actually checking this on google. I wanted to know why there was so much consumption (if you can call it that in my case) near the end of the OCI.

I was at ~4800 miles into the OCI, went on a road trip to Baltimore and back. It was about 600 miles total. Oil level was near half before the trip and stayed there after the trip. When I reached 6000 miles, barely any oil on the dipstick. Changed the next day. So the last 400-500 miles ate up whatever half a dipstick measures. That was with 5W30 PUP. Might be because it's the first time I'm running syn in it. Now I'm running 3.25 qts QS defy 10W30 w/ 1 qt Mobil Super 5k 5W30 for the summer and early fall to see what type of consumption I get in 6,000 miles. Either way, that mark is probably the highest I can go without adding any oil. Not a problem since I like changing oil. UOA will be posted when I get the results.
