Those must have been some really hard miles! i.e. Twin Turbos running to 10,000 rpm on a regular basis which I doubt is what your refering to

This is entirely false information!

Ever seen Mobil 1 0w40 viscosity after 5K tough miles?




The oil itself never wears but but the VII that are in the oil can degrade causing it to become a 30wt after a few thousand miles.

Yeah. The day I stop finding deals on oil or stop looking for them, I'll probably do one fill of Mobil 1 Extended per year. No reason otherwise...it's only $26 at wal-mart.
