Not impressed by Rock Auto

I think this would technically be on the drop shipper. They are probably told to use the RA tape on those orders.
Off topic, but have you seen the Motorcraft cut and posts? In particular the gluing issue? How they arrived may be the least of the concerns 😂

This is 100% the fault of the drop-shipper but it still ends up being RA's "problem" and the OP will have to play "pick the magic answers" if they decide to return these in order to a) get RA to accept the blame and b) for them to cover the return shipping charges.

Here is my shipment of NiCopp brake line. I’m assuming problems stemming from the various warehouses are the problem.

These guys were awesome!

Accept blame for what exactly? It’s a few dented cans of automotive fluid.

I had some recent issues with FedEx and Rockauto. I noticed its whenever I order a lot of items, its one big weak box and then FedEx just beats the **** out of it. I returned the O2 sensors and thermostat due to potential damage. RA accepted and sent me new parts.

You said it - "dented" cans. Do you buy dented cans of vegetables at the grocery or find the non-dented ones ? Yes, I understand in this case the fluid is fine, but if it were a different product, it would/could be a different story.
seems like UPS would be the one to blame for beating up the package...
It's up to the shipper to package things properly.

Not comparable because severely dented cans of food can introduce bacteria and present a health risk. The shipper packages things differently depending on what is being shipped.

I've complained about Rock Auto in the past here. I guess I get a stinker every one out of three orders. But, the prices are drastically better sometimes. For example, a Motorcraft wheel bearing unit on RA is $280. At the dealer, with a company discount, $680. Without the corporate discount it would have been over $800. A similar NAPA branded bearing was just under $500 and I had to buy the hardware.

My experience with Rock Auto has been overall good.

Typically packaging is ok, and the items come undamaged. They are way cheaper than local, way cheaper, and have good brand parts, if you so choose.

Ehhhh your cans are dented, but not leaking, and you got the stuff of a fraction of retail, call it a win..........

Not all Rcok Auto's fault.

I use RockAuto when the price & shipping is the best I can find. Amazon seems to have less of the brands I have been looking for and more brands I have never heard of. And Amazon has some pad and rotor combined which I am not interested in. I look at NAPA but they don't have the selection that RockAuto has.

Here’s hoping the Wagner calipers fare better than the crap packaging job the brake fluid got. Three cans loose in a weak box. Brilliant.
I think RockAuto like Amazon uses minimal packaging assuming a percentage of the products will get damaged. And of those that receive damaged products, some will return and some will be annoyed but keep the product. But the savings due to minimal packaging is higher than the cost of returns.

At least that's my feeling.
