No More Chevron Supreme

Just when I had thought I had seen the end of Chevron at my local Walmart, they re-stocked the shelves. It was the 2nd time I had all but written them off.

Funny, how all the stores are different in the products they carry ... even stores only 15-20 miles away.

They had 10W40 (they always have that weight, it's the one I almost never use

) but this time they had 10W30 (2 quarts) and 5W30 (several quarts).

I nabbed 2 10W30 and 5 5W30.

The shelves are again in need of restocking.

If you know Walmart carries something but your store never has any: the store can search other stores in a 150 mile radius using the item locator function on the "Be a Merchant" screen on their Telxon. They must first use the SKU# to pull the info from the Home Office database and put it on file in their store if it is not on file.

Every Wal-Mart can place a direct order for any item from a listed vendor using a store purchase order number. There may be a minimum and you may have to pay a small extra amount to cover shipping. Talk to the Store Manager.

I've managed to get a couple things this way - flashlights, TV, ...

Any Checker Auto Parts, Schuck's Auto Supply, or Kragen Auto Parts should have the Chevron Supreme oil in stock all the time.

No one ever really comes looking specifically for it... they just buy it becuause it is one of the cheapest oils we carry.
