Buster, hows the MC doing in your Honda?

Good so far. I almost have 5k miles on it. Very little oil usage at all. Plan on changing it out 7k.

Hey, the MC 5W-20 is doing well in my Honda V6 too. No usage after about 2k, OLM at 80%. Probably will change at about 6k.

I know no one asked, but I saw a similarity and just jumped right in. That's rude, isn't it?!

The MC is working great for me too. I am at around 4500 miles on it with my MMS somewhere between 30-40% (I'm guessing closer to 30%) and so I am coming up on an oil change at exactly around 5k. Perfect. BTW, I am 26,1xx miles.

What do you all think?

MC has been my best oil so far as my other oils have been Mobil dinos. Should I give MC another round or make the jump to full syn?

BTW, I am from the camp that believes in not going full syn till atleast 20k and also believe once you go full syn, you can't really go back. Your engine won't blow up if you do but you are going backwards in growth, IMO. My belief is since engines break in over a long time frame, you should start with dino and gradually work up to synthetics just don't wait too long to go syn (around or close to 30k should be sufficient). Then you got lots of miles with full syn and then there is always M1 High Mileage at what starting at 80k? So you car always has an evolution. I just dont know how long I should go with MC given it's outstanding performance.

Lou Dawg,

Did you car increase its performance right after your PP fill in anyway that was immediately noticable or not long after you put it on? Did it increase your rpms at certain speeds or did it lower your idle? Anything? Was it cooler after spirited driving or did you car run noticably cooler or quieter overall after using PP from MC? Did it go down at all?

I had the fortune back in the 90's to attend two tech classes at Shell's Westhollow facility.

So that's what they do out there... I grew up pretty near to the Westhollow facility, and always wondered what they did out there on Hwy 6.

As for the OP.... I'll give it up for Pennzoil- it's good stuff. As a matter of fact, I'm going to put it in my truck this weekend!
