Engine is getting up to operating temperature fine. Air flow from blower motor is excellent. No leaks from heater core. Coolant was never changed and its got 180,000 kilometres! Electolysis?

Have very little heat coming out from vents. I suspect its the heater core. Will a coolant flush help clean out the heater core?

Are you sure the temp control door is working properly? You could easly check to see if the core is pluged. Just feel top and bottom hose. Are the both hot? Also you could unhook tke hoses shoot a garden hose through to see if it is flowing.

Most likely either on/off valve in hose not opening(look to see if there is one), or, as jim stated control door isn't opening. Doors are usually controlled by vacuum,,got vac leaks?

A coolant flush machine might unclog the core if that's the problem. I've seen some that just wont unclog. May also be the temp door.
