2025 1500 Ram SST Issues

Wow Matt, you have some bad luck with anything mechanical. Maybe try a horse? :ROFLMAO:

I support your effort here. While you have a checkered vehicle past, this Ram is not going to get any better. Get rid of it while you can. My one an only lemon-law-like issue was with a car my wife bought. Constant issues, with two wiring harnesses, Turbo, and some other major part replacements that did not work. The car was eventually bought back by the company (for a respectable price) with a new purchase deal. We bought the new car and rode off into the sunset.
Pfft, ever heard of colic?? :LOL:

@matth
The first repair trip it broke December 19th I brought it in the 23rd of December and picked it up January 28th and their dates were December 24th to January 28th. The 24th is when they did the PCM update.

The second trip I took it in January 29th and got back February 3rd their date was drop off and pick up February 3rd.

Both documents said they test drove the truck to confirm the fix but the miles in and out on both documents were the same.

So here's another guy with a Ram 1500 SST who's experiencing a bunch of CEL issues, including a Cylinder 5 misfire, and Fuel Pressure Sensor 2 Circuit Performance, and a whole bunch of Implausible Data to a variety of modules in his truck.

Probably just needs someone to inspect the wiring harness to module connectors for proper pin fitment.
Unfortunately, with his truck, it sounds like a bunch of different modules are starting to have cascading issues.
He's had 2 videos before this one showing the initial problem, and then when his dealer returned the truck, they claimed all the original issues were caused by the decorative engine cover keeping too much heat in the engine bay while the truck idles for 30 minutes to keep his dog cool and comfortable while he goes into a restaurant and has a meal (for example).

Total bs on the dealer's part, but you're not the only Ram owner getting smoke blown up your butt by the dealer, who can't take the time to diagnose and fix an issue.

Did he disclose how he purchased the Ram, brand new, or an auction lemon special? I've watched several of his videos but have since become disenchanted with his content, he buys auction lemons and all sorts of trouble vehicles.

I can see how trolls immediately want to head for the weeds with "Why would you idle for a half hour?"

That's a stupid question for a dozen reasons and ANY engineer, vehicle designer or mechanic should readily admit that ANY modern vehicle should idle indefinitely.

Whether you should is a completely separate issue and irrelevant to the mechanical side of it. See also: the great panic of five years ago when I saw people idling in doctor and even veterinarian office parking lots because they couldn't enter the lobby. VERY few people will sit in a freezing or roasting vehicle when they have the option of climate control, no matter what they claim their moral convictions to be.

Uh yeah, he did state that. I watched the first few minutes and found out

Not to mention police and service vehicles idle for most of their life. I’ve seen some of those at auction with hundreds of thousands of miles still running fine.
