"Stupid question. Formulations, as you know, are not available to the public. I said I went by "specs".

And since you are clearly the smart guy here - please teach us what specs make for "better" ...

How about OEM approval ?

Not really understanding the super tech love that goes on around here? I get it that it's cheap oil but am I the only one who avoids Walmart like a free colonoscopy? I've picked up plenty of name brand oils for the same price as super tech that didn't involve me having to go to that store and end up [censored] the rest of the day. Rural king, big R, family farm, all places I don't have to use a self checkout and watch 5 workers standing around talking while the lines are a mile long.

Nope, not alone. I don't darken the door of Walmart either.

Bought Delvac 1 75w90 for $32/gallon ... if someone thinks ST is a better value - go for it !

And I also think about the overall importance of companies. Warren makes good stuff - but they have to buy what materials are out there - and blend and package.
I'd rather support an integrated company - Engineer>>Produce>>Evaluate>>>Repeat ... and need them around for years to come.

Walmart uses whoever has the lowest bid on most of their products. I learned the hard way when I filled up my 7.3 on the road and had to listen to my injectors going through Tennessee while that stuff ran itself out. Filled up at Marathon and all was well.
