Nissan P/S and MaxLife ATF???

I'm a person who like to turkey baster my P/S fluid when I do my oil change. My new Nissan calls for Nissan P/S fluid or Dex VI.

I always have some MaxLife Dex ATF around since I do drain and fills on my wife's Honda transmission with it (I'm also planning on using it on the Nissan drain and fill too since it meets the Matic-S spec).

Since the ML meets the Dex VI spec, would this be OK to drain and fill the P/S fluid too? I'm just concerned since the "extra" seal swellers not being good for the P/S system?

The 04 Xterra took ATF as did the frontier for that generation. 2nd Gen's not to sure of, but if the PS is a red ATF consistency then you can use ATF that meets Dex VI. If its PS clear and PS consistency then stick with PS fluid. Do not mix the two. The manual makes the recommendations of either one or the other, not both as often it will whine.
