News about Chevron Oils

For those who care, I called Chevron Technical support today. I asked about them discontinuing Chevron Supreme oils. He said, the only ones they are not carrying anymore are High Mileage, Synthetic blend, and Full synthetic. He stated, that those oils will be carried by Havoline now. So, for all you Chevron lovers who thought it was being closed out be rest assured. I am excited, as I started using Chevron.

Something to that effect was posted here on BITOG about 6 months back or so. But I have yet to see any Havoline full synthetic on the shelves of any of my local retail stores. Come to think of it, I've never seen any Chevron synthetic on the shelves either.

Chevron Synthetic can be orders through a Chevron rep around the corner from me. He has it in stock as well as the Delo 5w40 full synthetic.

How much do they charge for the Chevron/Havoline 5w-40 or the Delo 5w-40?

The delo 5w40 is 90.00 for 3 gallons. 40.00 for the Chevron synthetic. But that was 5w30 I asked about. It's Hawaii, so everything is more expensive. I have heard people getting the delo 5w40 at Costco for 18.39 a gallon.

I payed $30 per 6 quart case for chevron supreme synthetic 5w30 & 5w-20. I payed $24 for a 12 quart case of chevron supreme (non synthetic). Same $24 bucks for a 12 quart case of havoline DS. The rep near me said they were not going to be getting anymore chevron supreme (conventional and synthetic) as it was discontinued. Last time I was there they were fully stocked with havoline in all grades conventional and synthetic and I bought the last of the synthetic and the Dino supreme was almost gone. I am going to email him right now and see what he says about chevron supreme(non synthetic) still being available.

Chevron Tech Support said, all but the Supreme conventional was being phased out. He said, everything else would be carried by the Havoline line.

The "local" Campbell's Supply stocks Havoline full synthetic. Just under $6 per quart. After using full synthetics for some time now, I'm switching to Motorcraft syn blend and doing more frequent oil changes because I do very short trips. Also, I can get the MC cheap.
