my dad used Castrol 10-30 HM (80k)and its a thick 30 weight oil.
I will be switching to this oil aswell in my accord (120k) and i do the oil changes in my uncles car its a 02 nissan sentra. i was wondering if i can just use this oil and change it out 3-5k miles.
it only takes 3 qts so 2 for me!

Currently running Castrol High Mileage in my tercel. Seems to have worked slightly better at taming the blue smoke at start up then Maxlife had. Ran 3 consecutive changes with Maxlife and the last two have been with Castrol. Definitely a difference. Good stuff IMO

okok. another quick question not oil related but i dont want to make another thread.

in my 95 accord my radiator fan keeps turning on randomly when the engine is off and cold or even after the car has been sitting all night long.

all this started when i washed the engine .

why is it turning on?

It turns on in the middle of the night

My guess is you got water in a relay and it's randomly triggering itself. If it does not go away on it's own, try cleaning or replacing the radiator fan relay.

using High Mileage oil in newer motors is perfectly fine. High Mileage oils are designed for older cars as it has extra detergents and seal additives.

use it with no worries

I see no sense in using High Mileage oils unless an issue arises. You don;t need your seals swelling unless they need cleaning from leaking.
