Walmart HM oil?

I just changed the oil in my 94 Infiniti G20 over to this stuff.

It comes in a red bottle (I remember that their HM used to be a blend but now it is synthetic).

My G20 burns oil, but I never see anything coming out of the tailpipe nor do I ever see leaks.

Compression is perfect too.

Anyone know how this stuff fares against Valvoline HM or Castrol GTX HM concerning reducing oil consumption?

I am just curious since it was a little bit cheaper.

I guess I can wait and watch consumption, but I am curious about the oil.

Any thoughts?

Wow, i had no idea that Walmart High Mileage oil was supposedly full-syn??? I am pretty sure it is conventional oil is it not?

anyway, I myself had considered giving it a try in my daily driver that is using High Mileage conventional oil right now anyway.

I would hope & think that the Walmart High Mileage oil is just a conventional oil but I could not tell you for sure.

I know that the Castrol GTX is supposed to be one of the thicker High Mileage oils available as compared to other oils in the same weight. So that would explain partly how it seems to be a favorite to help with oil consumption. But the Pennzoil High Mileage oil made my Jeep 4.0L run nice & smooth & quiet...you should try that too.

All of the SuperTech oils carry comparable ILSAC and API ratings as the name brands. Have yet to see a poor UOA on this board for this brand. I'm sure it's a dino and will perform just fine.

The 10w30 worked well in an old Audi. The synthetic version is good too.

Change your pcv valve and your oil consumption will probably go down to nil.

The Warren website for their Mag1 synthetic oil (which I believe is the same as Super Tech synthetic as both come in the same clear plastic bottles) states that the 10w30 is formulated for higher mileage vehicles...
