Is it just me, or do Subie's like a 40 weight?

I just had my oil changed with Mobil 1 0w-40 and its running really quiet and smooth. I've been using Mobil 1 5w30 HM and 10w30 HM, which are thick 30's, they worked fine, but it seems to be smoother on the 0w-40.

A lot of Subie owners I know run either the Mobil 1 0W-40 or the Shell T6 5W-40 and they love it.

Naturally our local dealer throws a fit every time someone says this.

M1's 0w40 smoothed my H4 right out. However, I do enjoy how rev happy it is on a thin 30 weight.

If the MPGs haven't dropped and you still have as much power as before, you've got yourself a winner!

It still feels just as peppy as before. If I can keep finding the 0w-40 on sale, I'll keep using it. I bought 5 quarts with Mobil 1 filter at Auto Zone for 30 bucks.
