The two bottles are not the same viscosity. Manufacturers almost always put the API donut on the back label of their retail packaging. Valvoline only has Dexos licenses on their full synthetic oils.

Looks good to me. The wording "synthetic blend" is a winner compared to the old bottle. I don't see the API rating on the new bottle though.
