Actually I do have a pair of those. They are very much more rust prone than other pliers I have. There is still a supply of the USA made SK slip joints I have 6, 8 and 10 inch, they are very good.

They are more expensive than their new made in China models.

I cant say I have noticed, mine are stored in my box in a dry environment. Clean them up and give them a coat of rattle can engine clear, that is what some manufacturers do. I did that on some old side cutters that were rust prone, they have been fine for years.Actually I do have a pair of those. They are very much more rust prone than other pliers I have.
Another pawnshop find?MAC 1/2" distributor wrenchView attachment 260116
Ebay actually. I'm hoping this'll work on an EFI 318. A crowfoot kinda works, but it was awkward -- although any distributor wrench is inherently awkward.Another pawnshop find?
I've got the Lang 2599 20pc spindle rethread set. Had it for years and honestly not sure I ever used it. The one thing I needed to chase was stub shafts on 2nd Gen Rams, and they're an oddball 1-1/8-18 thread IIRC (had to special order)New Snap-on arrivals this week. He was the only tool truck to show up this week which is unusual. Usually he doesn’t show up except once a month but he has been on it here recently.
First a spindle rethreader set. Probably could have gotten this cheaper from somewhere else but it was convenient and we have this one tech who messes up these threads all the time so I want to be the one who is prepared lol. I need to get the tool to unstake the axle nuts too. On Toyota it will pull threads if you try to take it off when still staked. Learned that the hard way so I don’t do it anymore. I only do it for fun on junk non warranty axles now.
Then some small hose pinch off pliers. And some very sturdy plastic trim tools and scraper tools.
Brake caliper compressor tool for the Tundra, Sequoia and 4Runner and Tacoma brake calipers on the front.
Then semi deep chrome 1/4 drive sockets. I have to admit when I first saw semi deep sockets I thought it was the dumbest thing ever but the 3/8 ones have changed my opinion on that completely and you never realize how convenient and needed these things are. The quarter inch ones are going to serve me well and probably my bay neighbors too as they always borrow my 3/8 ones.
And mom always complains that I don’t ever bring her anything from the tool truck so I got her some pink socks and she likes them. I don’t know how anyone could stand ankle socks but that’s just me lol.

I used to have one of those boxes years ago. It was almost six feet wide, six feet high but only 20-22" deep like you saw. Didn't even dawn on me that it wasn't deep until it started getting full. After a few years the SnapOn man calls me and asks if I'll sell the box. He offered me a thousand dollars more than I paid for it in truck credit, of course. I said sure, why not. He brings me this 85th anniversary box which was bigger and deeper than my last one and considerably more money. It was a goofy color so I'm sure he was having a hard time selling it. He also threw in a pair of those Coastal boots and a DVD player which was a big deal back then. When all was said and done, I asked why getting my old box was so special. He explained that those shallow boxes are specifically designed to fit under tire racks. He had a guy that NEEDED it and was willing to pay since it was a limited edition. Mine was also in perfect condition.I was watching something, Motorweek maybe, and one segment was on a large Snap-On tool cart, maybe 60-66 inches wide, 54 inches high and 20-22 inches deep? Can't remember but a good sized box. And it had lighted emblems and logos and some lighted drawers I think. And ONLY $19,995. Just for the box. Please check the floor and don't step on my jaw.
