Well, the SIL wanted me to change a ceiling fan with 9' ceilings, but we then learned she doesn't own a decent step ladder.

I couldn't find any great sales on 6' at the moment at either Lowe's or HD, so I got her the Franklin from HF. Came to $60 with the 25% coupon -- not great for a 6' fiberglass, but not horrendous.

THEN I was wandering around a Denver Lowe's after returning some unneeded toilet parts -- another SIL project from yesterday-- and stumbled upon this Werner "Lean Safe" for $66, down from an alleged $189. I couldn't resist and bought one for myself. It's a bit too heavy and too feature-laden for what my SIL would need.

Lowe's changes clearance prices by store -- another Denver store shows $77 ‐‐ so put in your zip and see what you can find if you need a kinda-heavy but kinda-fancy ladder (I appreciate the option for stairs):

Then I gave the HF coupon a workout. First I bought the geared engine stand, $225 with coupon
https://www.harborfreight.com/autom...-gear-driven-rotating-engine-stand-57745.html

While waiting for that to be loaded I saw a guy walking out with a huge Icon pry bar. I'm a sucker for pry bars because I think you can almost never have too many or too many variations. So I wandered back in and discovered it was a 58" for $99. The coupon brought it down to $75 which seemed tolerable, so I grabbed one.

I also didn't realize HF had recently released Icon angle head wrenches in 30/60. I've been eyeing Tekton forever but they always felt a bit expensive for as often as I might use these.

The Icon set in metric is currently not a great value compared to Tekton because it omits 8,9, 18 and 19. I suspect Icon might introduce a larger set later, if for no other reason than several people asked for it in the reviews.

BUT the fractional set ain't a bad deal at $70 retail, running 3/8 thru 3/4". Coupon took it down to ~$52.50

Misc stuff
-lynch pin asst from TSC, $9. I fly thru these with my tractor and car hauler (esp if I'm stupid enough to lend out either one)
-Toyota W83005 pinned locknut socket. About $20 at Advance on clearance. Amazon regular price is about the same
-two deep impact sockets I've been needing. Opted for Capri. 1-1/8" and 1-1/16"
-CTA 4028 Toy lock ring pliers
-a/c discos on clearance at Autozone $7

-super cheap double-ended shock wrench
-Titan 68302 deep e-torx sockets
-Snappy 307IPLY fractional swivels 9/16" to 1-1/8" (more affordable on ebay than the metrics, presumably due to less demand)

I was intrigued by this Monster Mobile seal driver (NLA) so I found one on FB MP. Came with some random sockets, wrenches and a SnapOn FXWK3 extension.

The driver expands like pie jaws on a 3 jaw chuck, but then you only have 3 points of contact rather then the entire circumference. Not sure if it'll be useful, but it's kinda fun (er, well, if you share my definition of fun.....)
