Picked up this 3/8 impact set on Cyber Monday from Amazon for $134.99. I was looking for a set that included metric and standard sockets but also had swivels in a case. I use a Dewalt 20v 3/8 impact multiple times a day as an industrial maintenance tech and this will be travelling with my breakdown tools in the golf cart. So far everything looks great. The 72 tooth ratchet is really smooth but feels dry. I plan to open it up and lubricate it.

IME Neiko stuff is a great value and works reasonably well. Not tool truck, but you don't expect it to be for the price. And far less risk for places where you might lose your tools or they might walk off, like riding around a facility in a golf cart.

My thoughts exactly. We cover 15ish building and over 100 acres so the stuff goes a lot of places. I carry a lot of Kobalt, Gearwrench, and Power Torque (Oreillys is across the street) in my Milwaukee packout. I don’t own much tool truck stuff to begin with but it stays in the boxes in the shop. Guy I work with has nearly everything from the tool truck and is constantly worried about rain, theft, rust from the fertilizer we use, etc. My cheap stuff has done me well in this environment.

Car Certified Tools 2.5 gal brake bleeder plus their Master Kit of Adapters. This used to be sold under the Power Probe brand until the brake bleeder “division” separated into its own entity.

The bleeder can pressurize well over 30 psi, which is needed for some newer vehicles.

Note: the bleeder is actually made by Stierius in Germany.

From the Tekton outlet (they were also offering -10% for BF).

23MM flex head
23MM reversible
23MM crowfoot
1/4 "high torque" driver handle. Not sure what's blemished- it looks good to me

If you ask if I'll ever actually need 23mm, well.....you just don't get it and there's no talking sense into you ;)

I just don't get how those crowfoot work when put onto a ratchet. Seems like the directions of movement don't match. And are you going to tell how much those were?

What is it needed for?
E torx is popping up more and more on new vehicles. If you want to do virtually anything on the front suspension or brakes of a KL Cherokee for instance

As such I assume the new Rams are similar, but I don't actually know that. @The Critic do you have any e-torx on your Ram??

Oh I am aware, but I have not seen the need for a ratcheting E20 wrench. I figure it must have been for a particular situation.

Picked up an inexpensive ball joint adapter set. The XL press was sold out so I have one on order.

I was reading up on ball joint presses lately but could not find a NA made one that wont break the bank. Seeing that even OTC is outsourcing, why spend that kind of money just to get the same stuff under another name.

Found a nice snap on set used but wasnt going to spend 700$ for something I will use a handfull of times in my life.

Hoping to get the ball joints in my 3500 done this winter/spring before horse showing season. Leaning heavily to EMF.

Yep. Quite a few places, iirc.

I got to use Mr. Scott's patented o-ring tool. Works not only on starship components but also on all sorts of o-rings. I have found this implement useful for all sorts of tasks. I hope a joke is allowed in this forum.

If it is dumb and it works it is not dumb.

Bought a few tools directly from Tekton.
The 19mm 12-point flex ratcheting wrench in satin finish cost $20. Tekton introduced a new lineup of 12-point ratcheting wrenches this month. The 6-point are still available in the Tekton Outlet store at reduced prices. Both the 6-pt and 12-pt mechanisms have low backdrag. I will be buying some more sizes of the 12-pt flex wrench.

A 32mm 1/2" drive deep impact socket, for $11. And 1/8", 3/16", and 5/16" screwdrivers, 4" and 8" long, ranging in price from $5 to $10 each.
