Here is my arrivals from Thursday. Kept forgetting to take pictures lol. Finally more pocket pry bars but unfortunately sold out of black lol. So I got a bent orange to go with my straight orange and then a set of green. You don’t realize how handy these things are until you get them. My Matco dealer won’t sell the Matco ones cause the shafts come out of the handle and Matco won’t fix the issue. Then two 1/2 drive ratchets. Both with black hard handles. He had a dark titanium in the larger one but I didn’t see it till I got this one lol . Both have been used already especially the longer one it’s the perfect size 1/2 ratchet.

Never really saw the point in short 1/2" drive ratchets, Especially buying a high end one. I keep two 1/2" drive ratchets in my box.....Both are extra long (1 flex head, 1 standard)

The only time I really need a shorter 1/2" ratchet is for Oil Filter/Fuel Filter Caps.....I just use a 3/8"-1/2" adaptor with a 3/8" ratchet.

I mean no offence AM, Just concerned when I see young mechanics buy things like this.

The only time I really need a shorter 1/2" ratchet is for Oil Filter/Fuel Filter Caps.....I just use a 3/8"-1/2" adaptor with a 3/8" ratchet.

I took a similar approach and got a cheap swivel head something (Ampro, maybe?) on Amazon for a 1/2" stubby.

And yeah, I'm pretty sure I only use it on filter cap wrenches. I rarely use it at all....

-clearance calculator from Family Dollar at $2.40. In a hot works shop calculators are practically consumables. Plus I'm hardcore and buy my tools at Family Dollar. Werd. To yer mother.

-new Komelon tape from my wife. These are my personal favorite by far: stay locked out until you push the button to retract, no stupid magnetic hook, no stupid fractions for those who can't read a tape, no stupid 32nd lines

-wandering around a HF I grabbed another pair of hose pincher vise grips and a variation of a different pinch-off setup I don't yet own. I'm a believer you can never have enough ways to clamp off coolant, fuel and power steering lines -- each tool has strengths and weaknesses depending upon location, size, type of hose and fluid etc etc

Needed a better quality sprayer. The cheap $10-20 sprayers we're not cutting it.

it makes sense for the parts of the world that just don’t use 3/8. otherwise they’re pretty useless

The Komelon tapes are awesome! I have 4 or 5 different brands and always reach for the K.

Yes, I tested it out for 30 seconds. It's much better than those cheapie seats that cost $20. They also provide end caps to convert it to a non roller seat.

My Snapon dealer says the two brands that he cant compete with are Knipex pliers and Fluke meters so he sells both of those over Snapon. Snapon makes some nice special purpose pliers but I have yet to find a pair of Knipex I didnt like

I got 2 German made Halder Supercraft dead blow hammers. A 1.5lb and a 3.75 lb. If you never used one of these type dead blows, you're missing out. I busted several of the old school style polyurethane plastic ones over the years and they will all eventually fail, especially in the super cold. These two hammers that I have here, the shot is welded inside the steel head and it has replaceable nylon tips. I still haven't been able to put any dents in these nylon tips. These tips are also replaceable.

Harbor Freight haul today. Some stuff for work and the house. The Icon bit set is going to work I’ve been trying to get my hands on this set for awhile got the last one on the shelf. The two dead blows are also going to work I need a couple smaller ones for there they are good when you need just a little persuasion lol. I’m wondering if there are a few different suppliers for them too? Because one has the black Pittsburgh name stamped onto it like my other HF ones have and then the other one it’s actually pressed into also noticed the label being different too. The breaker bar I already have at the house so this one going to work. Had the Snap-on guy quote me one the other day it was like $225 for a bar of steel? No thanks that’s literally what a breaker bar is lol I’ve never broken any of my HF ones so I’m happy with this one and it will serve me fine for the rare times you actually do need something like this. Picked up the Bremen vise grips for home. I completely destroyed the jaws on my Duralast ones they aren’t as good as before they switched suppliers now they are junk. The Bremen is definitely one of the better in store options with Milwaukee being a close second but these are cheaper lol. You really can’t go wrong with them we have several guys at the work with them and I have a set at work also the small set. I’m happy about the Icon set though I’ve waited on this for so long. I was going to buy a bunch of other stuff too but decided to spend on my needs right now and focus on getting my tool truck payments down a little bit before I buy those other things.

What's the PN on that bad boy and do they have one with the classic steel handle?

THLLFD72 is the part number for that one. The combination of the hard handle and Quick release make it hard to find. If your like most and don’t care for the quick release you can find any or the handle configurations easily, Steel handle, soft grip handle or hard handle.

For small fastener(motorcycles, lawn equipment, etc) this is my most used ratchet hands down.

A few goodies from O’Reilly Auto Parts. Went there to drop some used oil and remembered I was looking for a few things. The 14mm deep 6 point is to fill in one of my sets at home. Haven’t been able to find that one at the pawn shop so I just got it while I was here I use that size all the time anyway so it will get used. The extension is for work. Realized I didn’t have that size one there in chrome and it is good for torquing some wheels where the torque wrench gets too close to the wheel so instead of using the 6 inch I’ll use this one that way I know it’s torqued properly. I do have an impact one that size but I’ve split a few impact extensions with my torque wrench so I’ll put this one to use instead. Power Torque is pretty good with the tools. Made in Taiwan and lifetime warranty plus since my friend works there I got the employee discount. I’d say Power Torque is the second best auto parts store brand tools under Carlyle from Napa. I’ll never stop buying tools lol. Especially from auto parts stores which I’ve really come to love their tools lol.
