Tekton haul. First ordering experience from them as I normally just buy their stuff at Rural King but they don’t sell these particular things. Was expecting it to be in a box instead it was a padded envelope which is fine but I was wanting a box lol. Was excited to find a reputable company that had needle nose vise grips available so I’m excited to try these out it’s my whole reason for placing the order. I also got some hex bit sockets I didn’t have an 11mm for Ford and a 13mm and 15mm for those just in case moments lol because I don’t have those sizes in my Capri set. Also got a free catalog, sticker and socket tray labels I figured probably won’t use those but they are free. Edit: forgot got some impact sockets for common size lug nuts as my Craftsman are all worn worn worn out lol.

Capri and Zoro hauls should be here in the next few days hopefully both of those are delayed in various places.
If you don't have a 9mm hex bit socket get one for those oddball '99-ish Ram front calipers ;)

I believe those are 3/8 that’s what I’ve used on them before haha. The Chevrolet too. I do have a 9mm one as my Escape on of the calipers is a 9mm the other is a 7 lol.

I really should stay away from my local pawn shop.

$200 for everything:
Matco 36" pry bar PBG36B
Snappy 3/8" flex FLF80A
Snappy 1/2" flex SF80A
Snappy stripper/crimper PWCSS7CF
Snappy "Swedish pipe wrench" PWZ0

VW Beetle, Golf (some) Jetta also.
And I realize you're not arguing but I'm not delusional when I say some Ram 1500s around '99 got 9mm hex SHCS's for the calipers.

8mm / 5/16" definitely too small. 3/8" or 10mm definitely don't fit, and yeah, I cleaned out the hex.

I thought I was losing my mind and at the time didn't have a 9mm hex bit socket but fortunately most auto parts stores sell them individually for the examples mentioned by myself and others here

Capri Tools haul today. Man was the box heavy lol. Got a brake tool for pushing back certain brake caliper pistons. Didn’t have it and it’s cheaper than I can get it for most places so I went ahead and got it. Got some 3/8 impact sockets because I’ve only got a few not a whole set. This set goes from 8-22. Got a 1/4 torque wrench which was on sale because I don’t have a 1/4 torque wrench. The case is a little big for it much bigger than I was hoping for. Then I got a set of impact adapters so you can use different drive sizes if needed. And a set of trim tools. The trim tools are similar to the Harbor Freight ones but you get more and they are better made and if they do break they have a warranty so I’m not complaining I could of used these today haha.

Half sized sockets for swollen lug nuts. Perfect and a must have for Ford and Toyota. If it had a 17.5 it would be awesome because Mopar lugs swell all the time on those lug stud type. But I could not find one anywhere luckily usually an 11/16 will work for them. I love tools but not both sets are for me lol 😂. One set is for my coworker Batman my sidekick. He is paying me for them so no issues. I think they were $64 each on Zoro where they were purchased.

Edit: Showed them to my dad and he is like why didn’t you just buy them from Snap-on like you do everything else? Lol 😂 everyone knows my bad habits haha. My main reason for not doing that is don’t use them enough and Snap-on was at least double the price.

Tekton Pliers Rack Organizer, 7 inch Diagonal Cutting Pliers, Mini Diagonal Cutting Pliers

The pliers are easy to hold. The plier rack is solid with a super grippy rubber base.

The rack and pliers stay in place when opening and shutting the tool chest drawer.

I’m really pleased.

First time I have seen "ream and punch" pliers. Are these popular with electricians? Plumbers?
Electricians thing. Reaming EMT and knocking out knockouts. I have never used those pliers. I like using a dedicated EMT reamer and find that knockouts can either be pushed out with your fingers or linemans. Some knockouts are not punched properly so you have to get creative to get them out.

Yeah, it's an electrician thing. You can put the jawed end of the pliers up in the 'cut-off' end of some conduit and it has edges that will deburr it. That's the idea behind the design, although I have no experience with doing it so I can't comment on its effectiveness.
These are nice and you don't have to be an electrician to get a lot of use out of them. This is a nice set and they feel good and solid.
I've always liked Milwaukee tools and have never been let down by them.

17.5mm is less than 2 thou from 11/16" and believe me even these half sizes are not made to tolerances of +/- .002"

If you really want 17.5 (but I can guarantee you they're taking the exact same 11/16" socket and stamping it differently):

Tekton 3/8” drive, 6 pt socket set, 6mm - 24mm

I prefer socket sets in cases vs rails. The Williams 1/4” and 1/2” drive sets in cases are my favorites. This set joins them.

Snap-on trim tool set long. He had red and green I was hoping for orange lol but oh well. Then picked up a magnetic pickup tool and got some pocket screwdrivers and drawing entries. Also talked him out of a camouflage hat too haha. Made a large payment today of $760 to get my balance down.
