Bought a Shaviv deburring tool at Amazon
IMG_1806.JPG

There are many varieties of blades available:

For my 13 year old Milwaukee circular saw I bought ( $62) a 18V NiMh 3AH battery online, from BatteryShip.com in Wyoming. It replaces a 2.4 Ah NiCd OE battery (that died about 6 years ago), and has a 1 year warranty. The circular saw is old, but it probably has less than 10 hours of actual run time, and I did not want to toss it into the trash. I rebuilt the second OE NiCd battery 5-6 years ago with a 3.4Ah NiMh kit bought on Amazon, that no longer seems to be available.

I have to start asking prices. 😳. I was glad to see he finally had the 10 inch ones. The 7 inch were $75 last time so I figured these would be a lot more but I’m glad it was only $9 more. I might buy some more from Malco especially if they have the needle nose style which I need as my original China vise grips are smashing the teeth in on for the needle nose ones.

Also bought a # 430-231 Rennsteig (made in Germany) automatic center punch at Amazon. It has a max force of 250N.

This is a great piece of kit, I bought a couple of them some years ago and use them mostly for center punching a bolt for drilling and match marking, it makes keeping on center much easier. They also make a nice nail set.

I waited until this set came down from $10 to $8 😷

My experience with inexpensive locking pliers is that they're worth exactly their scrap weight in steel. I wouldn't clog up and weigh down even a roadside (or trailside) just-in-case bag with the ones I've personally experienced. Maybe they've gotten better....

Cheap wrenches, sockets, ratchets, sure. But for me no-name Chinese locking pliers literally aren't worth the gas needed to haul them around.

Some pawn shop buys, everything seems to be like new and work good, Innova 5610 OBD2 $149, Hart 1/2 impact $59 with 2.0 battery, Hart 3/8 ratchet $49 with 1.5 battery, both these Harts came with chargers too, Ryobi 1/4 hex impact $17 tool only, no battery/charger...might be like that cheap sports car that ends up costing a fortune being batteries are expensive to buy separately;

Used the Hart 3/8 racket on recent lower intake manifold removal/replacement for KIA V6 oil sender replacement and the 2 step trigger worked great, not a fan of square battery in this type unit but it is fairly well balanced.

Actually ended up returning the Dewalt high torque impact $249, being I got the Hart 1/2 impact and I also have air impact and only hope that I don't a need for the Dewalt that the Hart can't do. I kept the Dewalt packaged being I hadn't needed to use it and I probably shouldn't spend so much on something I may not need to use a lot, but here it is with the Autool BT360 battery system tester unit I got off eBay, $39, it reports the battery internal resistance too, Innova and Ryobi again too;

Went to Harbor Freight again and spent too much money lol. Went in to get a replacement hammer for my favorite coworker Batman and ended up seeing several things I “wanted” though all of them are useful for me. $68 not too bad for everything. I broke his hammer so I was obligated to replace it. Went to Advance where it was purchased they said since the name was no longer visible and no receipt they could not warranty it. I didn’t even try to fight I walked out and went to Harbor Freight. Also purchased the blue magnetic tray for him as well as he has been wanting one and they were on sale haha. Maybe it will be like the black one and everyone in the shop will have one before the end of the week 😂. Then the brushes you always wear those out so I keep new ones when I can. The battery terminal cleaner will come in handy for some batteries though to me it’s easier to use a wire brush when it’s still connected. Pliers rack for the cart already have one but have so many pliers in the cart and more coming in the mail so I need more racks. 3/8 impact extensions looking for a new 3/8 impact as my Blue Point could not be fixed as parts are no longer available but I didn’t have but two 3/8 impact extensions so I wanted more. The brake gauge will come in handy as we have to record brake linings of every vehicle as part of our multipoint that we are required to complete before working on any vehicle just to make sure there are no issues as we have been blamed in the past. The shop has them but they are old and beat up so I got my own. It’s marked as a new product at Harbor Freight I didn’t know they sold them but I’m glad they do. It was nice to have a day off for snow today getting to catch up on things I needed to do. You will probably see several tool posts from me this week as I have three different tool orders coming from Tekton, Capri and Zoro.

Snap-on Tuesday for me. Got a long flex head 1/4 drive ratchet. I love Snap-on ratchets in my opinion they are the best. Also got a deep well extractor set. I asked for it about 3 months ago and he just got it in. Still waiting on my pearl blue 3/8 extra long ratchet. Also got 3 out of the 6 pairs of my socks that I had him order too. Was disappointed my Pearl Blue ratchet hasn’t come yet as I could really use it right now. He doesn’t even have an extra long one on the truck. Sorry about the lighting in the picture I didn’t realize that haha.

How much do you pay for those socks? Given how many tools you buy, I would expect the Snappy guy to give them to you for free! :)

Free lol. Probably not free for as much as I’ve bought. I did pay for the two XL pairs. I think they were $10 per pair he charged me for those.

Tekton haul. First ordering experience from them as I normally just buy their stuff at Rural King but they don’t sell these particular things. Was expecting it to be in a box instead it was a padded envelope which is fine but I was wanting a box lol. Was excited to find a reputable company that had needle nose vise grips available so I’m excited to try these out it’s my whole reason for placing the order. I also got some hex bit sockets I didn’t have an 11mm for Ford and a 13mm and 15mm for those just in case moments lol because I don’t have those sizes in my Capri set. Also got a free catalog, sticker and socket tray labels I figured probably won’t use those but they are free. Edit: forgot got some impact sockets for common size lug nuts as my Craftsman are all worn worn worn out lol.

Capri and Zoro hauls should be here in the next few days hopefully both of those are delayed in various places.
