New tool thread

No problem at all, it works well, no fumbling with 2 wrenches is a real improvement. Angle grinders and dremel tools with the spindle lock for me are a must.

Edit: I use roloc disc a lot on the astro the spindle lock holds it while you finger loosen the disc on the holder.

Got this awesome rechargeable neck light off the Matco truck today. 600 lumens he also had 300 but the 600 was a heck of a lot brighter. Includes a dual charger for both sides. Love it. Just about everyone in the shop has one. And it’s blue so that’s a huge plus too. Not too heavy either.

Looks a lot like the kobalt light at Lowe's for $21.

EDIT: the lowes one is 210 lumens, yours is 600, so they don't really compare.

I got this years ago completely useless at 110 lumens.

Then I got 2 of these (pretty sure in the $60 range)

This is my small go to at around $20

Got a DieHard 3/8 long flex head ratchet. Have heard nothing but good things about them. Been wanting to try for awhile just they are always out of them. I was at Advance Auto in the ghetto and they had one. They didn’t have any of the oil that was on sale but they had this so I picked it up. Glad to see they lowered the price by $2 as well. Now $35.99 when I went last month it was $37.99 still. Made in Taiwan. They have really come a long way with tools from parts stores I’ve had no issues with any of mine. Love all my parts store stuff.

I picked up an inop Dewalt drill cheap just to pillage the Rohm chuck for my new 2801 Milwaukee. It turned into a mini saga and I had to completely tear apart the Dewalt to get the chuck off the spindle, but I was victorious.

I was spoiled by a period of Warehouse Deals Rohms at $20 to $25 ea, but now they're $50 or $60 (depending upon 1/2-20 or 9/16-18) plus shipping and tax.

STEELMAN Pro ChassisEar 2 - Had a $20 off coupon. Paid $120 + tax. I don’t have high hopes, but for the price, I’ll try them.

Snap-On 209EFTXBY - My MAC RBRT Torx sockets damaged a few small fasteners. No issues with the larger sizes though. I bought this Snap-On set on eBay for a pretty decent price…but of course, someone listed a set for $30 cheaper right after I bought mine. 🤦🏻‍♂️
