Wow, Am I happy with this!

A 2000 Accord EX-L 4cyl 5MT with 136K on it. EXACTLY what I've been looking for!

Its ridiculously clean, I opened the hood and nearly started laughing at how clean it is under there!...leather chairs, ABS, disc brakes all round, sunroof, im the 3rd owner, im SO [censored] happy with it, just doubled my fuel mileage! sweet. will post pics at some point soon.

the guy was doing his own oil changed with Castrol GTX every 5K, it even has a Fumoto drain valve.

Already formulating plans for oil/fluids hahaha!

They made this model year generation really, really look like a giant Civic.

Shes def gonna get some nice syn pretty soon, havent decided quite what, yet. MT needs a change too, as does Pwr. Steering

Im gonna pick an oil, do some UOAs and stick with it.

im thinking PP, M1EP or Amsoil Sig series.

You should make it clear your being sarcastic when making such statements.

+1. You got people like me that would add 3 quarts (again) to an existing fill. I did that once.

Then I added a fourth quart.

Nothing happened!

A Novice taking advice on the web from pseudo-experts is dangerous. I was convinced to try LiquiMoly moly treatment and THAT sludge almost ruined my new Honda. The MMO would probably be more benign ...

Seemed clear to me. Hey the planet needs a little social darwinism to thin the herd.

If it has been using dino I would stick with it. In my experience, throwing syn at a high mileage car that has had dino its whole life is a huge change. Did that with my Subaru (135,000 mi.) and it started using oil in earnest. Switched back to dino, no problems.

Great car, great find!

Great buy....2000 Accord EX-L 4cyl 5MT was one of my two choices, though I found Kitacamry 1st so went with that....

I also changed all the fluids (other than the MT fluid that was new with the new clutch)...

I'd change the coolant with the correct mix/chemistry...many people just add water over the years...

I went with PP since the oil in it at time of purchase was PYB and over 3k miles exhibited no leak or burn off so I decided to stick with the same "chemical family"....
