Our 24’ Atlas has 34k miles on it and the stock Kumhos are almost toast and have been noisy for about 10k miles.

I’m considering the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 (70k), Michelin Defender 2 (80k), and Michelin CrossClimate2 (60k).

We have the Pirellis on our Camry and we really like them and those are what I’m leaning towards.

Primary Driving location is Southern Indiana, Southwestern Ohio, and Northern Kentucky.

Any recommendations?

From what I read the CC2s can get noisy.
They're simply less tolerant of alignment issues or lack of rotations due to the directional design. Also not the greatest in the dry.

But zero complaints from the friends/neighbors I've recommended them to. Every single person is incredibly happy with them. My neighbor has a set on his Subaru with over 50k and 4-5K rotations from me; still 5/32-6/32" remaining and fairly quiet.

edit: corrected mileage

Defenders work really well on SUVs but the Michelin tax is a bit much. I have Conti DW06 Plus for a couple k now and really like them, great in the wet supposedly good in snow but I can’t confirm.

Michelin is usually within $50-100 of Continental if you get a Costco price match during a sale.

You can pretty much guess this site will say Conti or Michelin as like no one else can make good tires but them.
If it was my vehicle, I'd get Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra.

255/50/R20

The CC2 is a good choice if winter/ snow capability is needed.

The Toyo Celsius II and Celsius Sport are also good choices. The Celsius Sport is still a 3-peak all-weather tire, but has a little more performance if you need it. The Nitto Motivo 365 is a good price at Walmart right now (Nitto is also made by Toyo).

If you like Pirelli, their Scorpion Weatheractive is available in your size.

And of course, if you can wait the 6 weeks, see which one is the best price.

Quietest tire I ever had was the General Altimax Rt43. Discontinued now replaced by the Rt45.

The 365AW is even better being an all-weather tire, but it's not available in the OP's size.

How important is snow performance? If it is, CC2!
If not, check whether tehre is Michelin Defender M/S2 in that size or Costco version of it.
Check Continental TerrainContact H/T.

I don't know if all Costco's but by me there is no installation charge, includes 5 year road hazard and the rotations/flat repair. You can also get a $1.99 pizza slice or $1.50 hot dog and soda while you wait.

Costco by me does also have Pirelli to order but limited choices. In size I was looking for they only had a P7 (not the AS+3).

Based on Tire Rack tests/reviews the CC2 is a great choice but rotate and watch alignment but that goes for all tires. If I was getting new today for Pilot it would be tough choice, probably determined by price/sales/rebates/support like above. Conti TerrainContact HT, Michelin Defender LTX M/S2, Pirelli AS+3, CC2, GY AW2, Nokian One or AW02.

I run full winter so that part doesn't change for me. I prefer the first 3 to be able to cross rotate to even out wear if anything odd.

Any off pavement plans? I use my Michelin Defender LTX M/S with no issues on beach, gravel, light mud hunting. If I was doing more the Cooper Road + Trail on father-in-laws Renegade are actually pretty quiet and ride nice. No clue on long term as only about 5 months old.
