I have not really followed AutoZone much anymore unless it is just an outright clearance. They seem to be a bit more miserly than AAP when it comes to discounts and thresholds needed for them.

Me neither, and agreed on AZ being "more miserly than AAP." That said, I've noted that latest AAP 15% off promos looks to have upped the minimum purchase from $35 to $50. But, for now at least seems free ship still at $35+. Not too long ago could snag a 15% discount no minimum, but seems those days gone.

I just got an update! Its being shipped direct from Premium Guard. Keep in mind...I never ordered from Premium Guard...I ordered from Autozone! I did NOT order Premium Guard oil filters...I ordered STP MAX through Autozone.

Please post an update with pics when you get your order. I’m curious as to what they are sending you.

Its not a mystery to me whats happening. Whats happening is drop shipping. Autozone takes the order and the money...sends a note to Premium Guard which handles the rest.

Its good to know that it is being sent from Premium Guard in TN.

@Navi, buying a case is probably why you had the delay in shipping and directly from PGI. In my experience, my AZ orders come from individual stores but I’ve never ordered volume like this. I’d bet individual stores don’t stock a full case and therefore it has to be drop shipped. Just my guess. Good to see you got the PGI version!!
