The only changes I notice are VW 503.00 and Mercedes 229.5 have been added. But as we've seen, looks like chemistry changes took place bc the last 2 or so UOA's came back with very little P/Zinc.

Thanks for the update...been checking their website. They must have just updated today. HTHS 3.4 and A3 rating...hmmm. Now if Mobil would just post their M1 EP PDS.

Exactly. I still wish Mobil would make a thicker 0w-30, but as others have said, the market really doesn't call for it. The Amsoil and GC are the two best IMO.

*Last week they said the 21st they would be out. If not then, later this week they said. The 5000 are out.

These are the same "typical batch data" specs as this formulation has had for the past several years. So the high/low temp viscometrics haven't changed ....

Sully,

The HT/HS viscosity typically runs @ 3.5 Cp, +/- 0.1 Cp for this formulation - hence the A3 designation instead of A5. The previous spec sheet showed 11.3 Cst @ 100C and HT/HS of 3.5 Cp, just for comparison.

One thing different is that they have removed the VW 505.00 and ACEA "B4" diesel applications from the list. I'd speculate this is due to the updated additive chemistry and somewhat reduced Ca/Mg levels. So I'd recommend one of the Amsoil CI-4+ rated synlubes for VW TDI diesel engines and NOT this version of the Series 2000, 0w-30.
