What plan on Cricket?Switched to US Mobile from Cricket. Same cost but more data. To a point that I don't need Wifi...
was a grandfathered plan with an add-on hotspot. What plan on Cricket?
i see a 12 month unlimited for $300
nice deal if you dont neef to teather (hotspot not included)
didn't get a new phonehow you like the 16E
That's the one I bought. Paid $228 for the year.Ok, so @Vil_Riker you made me curious.
We currently pay US Mobile (actual payment_ $33 for two lines, 12GB shared data, hotspot (tether) Rarely run over, most of our use is on Wifi.
However with US mobile annual plan I can get for $5 more two lines $38 a month. Funny thing is we do not use much data but it's a good deal, maybe I will, I dont know!
*LOL* Anyway, goes to show how one can get low cost good quality service. I have used Cricket, never had an issue. I have used Red Pocket never had an issue and now US Mobile, never had an issue. One thing US Mobile does give you that the other two do not is higher priority service and if you use your phone for a hot spot, which we do at times its included with US Mobile.

* 70 GB on Dark Star (ATT) 35GB on Warp (Verizon) and Light Speed (T-Mobile)
Recap - So I am currently paying $33 a month for 2 lines (by the GB plan) and up to 12GB auto top off if I need it @ $4 for 2 GB extra, about three months a year we run over by up to $12.
I could buy this special for $5 more a month above, but dont really need it, mostly. What is important is HotSpot that US Mobile gives.
One thing for sure, between these three companies, good deals.
Oh my god *LOL* I read your post backwardsThat's the one I bought. Paid $228 for the year.
That is a REALLY great deal. Unbeatable really. Tethering/hotspot included is pretty much unheard of at this price point. Also US Mobile service itself has higher priority data then dare I say all others at this price. Im thinking about it, meantime (for others) I am happy with my current US Mobile plan, if I could use more data the $228 would be a slam dunk. That's the one I bought. Paid $228 for the year.
Good luck with it. It's a nice package that has most of what many people need and use, especially the camera and display.I purchased a 16e yesterday. It was my intention to purchase in the next few months, but with the "tariff" wars raging I deceided to pull the trigger now. The Apple store was doing a very brisk business.
YES, That is a HUGE jump from the XR which was a great phone in its day (I had one too)Running a 16 myself since last Thursday crazy the performance over my XR
I love this. I wish the 14 got it too. Most of the time I charge my phone on the run so I end up pulling it off a charger while I'm awake and haven't charged overnight in years. I would use the limit setting if it had it.This is a cool feature on the newer iPhones.
As far as I know iPhone 15 and newer (unsure about the iPhone 14 but nothing older)
You can now set a "CHARGE LIMIT" how much you want the battery to charge. 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, 100% For maximum lifespan of the battery.
SETTINGS>BATTERY>CHARGING>CHARGE LIMIT
Yeah, the 16E to me is home run for those who dont not care about those few features. Plenty of online reviews about it, great camera, processor, battery life. Nice product.I love this. The only reason why I wouldn't get the 16E is because it doesn't have Magsafe. I use a pedestal charger with a thin case or caseless at times and it would take a Magsafe style case to use the pedestal. The 17 will be out before I consider a new phone anyway and I'll ether get the Pro or another Pro Max.
I do like what the 16E offers overall for the price point.
I think that's why I haven't been in a hurry. They're all marginal changes right now. It gets me USB-C charging and the 14 Pro Max is the only device I have left with Lightning, but beyond that doesn't make a meaningful change in my daily use. I've had it 2.5 years now and it looks like I'd be fine to use it another couple of years if the 17 doesn't appeal to me. I'm definitely in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" category since my focus right now is home upgrades and not childishly modifying daily driver cars these days. All my tech is working as intended so I've been losing my want to keep upgrading for no reason. I guess maturing has its perks.Yeah, the 16E to me is home run for those who dont not care about those few features. Plenty of online reviews about it, great camera, processor, battery life. I have a new 15plus because I wanted the pinpoint accuracy of the AirTags. I still charge with a cord but my wife has the MagSafe stand with watch and AirPods charger combined.
It will be interesting what will happen with the 17s. Apple needs to come up with something new I think. Maybe 18s I dont know. A foldable phone would be great but I doubt I would spend the money on what the price would be.

The whole network was very different back then. It is like a giant phone powerful enough to transmit and receive to a giant antenna tower far away. There is a finite bandwidth for a finite number of phones. It probably cost as much as a cop radio network to run.The first mobile phone, the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X, cost $3,995 when it was released in 1984, which is equivalent to about $12,100 today. And we complain about the cost of the top of the line iPhone pro max
