Because Ford wouldn't waste quality american minds and ingenuity on a piece of junk unbalanced engine whose saving grace is a cowardly nation of engineers who construct metal to feel safe!

"Unbalanced engine"---doesn't Ford make V8's and V6's? If they want balance let them build inline 8's and 6's!

I'm running M10W40 in my 08 Volvo S60 2.5T. Two used oil analysis suggest that the oil is extremely effective using Volvo's recommended 7500 oci. Blackstone suggested that the oil could go longer, but it's under an extended warranty so I'll stick with what I've been doing. For me, 7500 is long enough, anyway.

If it were me, I'd run your Chevron Supreme Syn until you run through that and then decide if you want to switch to something else.

like my gf a lot. 1st time i can say that in i dont know how long.

her 05 subaru has done fine before me. so i just grab Pennzoil Conventional and do 5000 oci since she does a lot of hwy and drives is real easy.

i one up'd myself by convincing her to get new tires at pepboys with the free 3 oil changes.
then she goes to the dealer and lets them change it even though i told her it doenst need it yet. i talked tot he manager that i just changed it 2k ago. so she get's a free one next time...

and i have a filter and some 5w30 conventional already. she's set for like 3 years haha.

anyway,
if you don't mind the cost throw in what you like. 0w40 would be very nice of you, just wont be as appreciated by her any different than a good dino.

so i guess she will see it the same no matter what you use. up to you which you use.
