In the last few days I've seen several new Volts? on the road. One had temp tags. Then I saw an ad on tv that said Chevy would install a charging station in your home with the purchase of one. Is this a new redesigned electric car? The styling is new and different.

I think the Volts been discontinued for a few years. Maybe it was the Bolt?

Probably what it needed the most, not that I've ever seen one, lol! GM needs to stay competitive in this compact segment and there's nothing wrong with the engineering of the Bolt in my view (thanks to Weber Auto's teardown videos).
Hyundai/Kia are continuing with facelifts of the similar-sized Kona and Niro.
It was bigger than that. Longer.
