New car battery recommendations...

As has been said, local climate determines battery life. NJ probably isn't above 90º 70% of the year. Hate to keep preaching, but I sold batteries for a year here in the Houston area. Ninety percent of the cores had date codes within the preceding 4 years. I guarantee you'd've replaced your Sienna battery at least once if you lived down here. Keeping a car garaged also helps with battery longevity.

On the flip side, it doesn't snow down here, therefore there's never salt on the roads. Our vehicles generally don't acquire any rust or body rot.

I just replaced my AAP Silver battery that I installed two years and two months ago in our Corolla . Two months out of warranty and it went bad. To their credit AAP refunded the full price and I bought a AAP Gold. Cost me about 14 dollars in addition to the refund. Little better specs. Hopefully it lasts. Three year free replacement.
Where I live we have a small local business that sells batteries. Of the different brands they have I choose Deka. I always go to them as they sell quality batteries, and are honest and trustworthy. They've turned me away in the past after a free load test, telling me my batteries were good. I only ended up at AAP as car battery failed during the winter of 2014 on a Sunday when local company was closed.
