What?

You sounded like you were issuing a teaser from a talk show, instead of waiting until Jan /Feb to simply state your intention or action.
It was an attempt at humor--never mind.

OP. If you are happy with your purchase and financing terms then ignore the posters who may be ruining the great feeling you get when acquiring something like this.
Do it on your own, take the adversity in stride and be happy with your decision. It's a nice car,Congrats.
And thank you for your service. I'm a Canadian so you aren't actually defending our honor in particular however it is admirable to serve something greater than yourself, for the greater good of all free people.
Happy new year.
And just a tip on break in,take it out on the highway and row the gears accelerating, then do the same decelerating, never giving it more that 3/4 throttle. Make sure no one is behind you on decel. Do this for about 10 minutes and I promise you those low tension rings will seat good against the cylinder walls and you will never consume a drop of oil.
Happy new year

Gumby, I applaud you 10x over, there is no finer class of people than our active duty/veteran's in this country. I sincerely thank you for your service. Please be very careful in the future with credit. It is too easy to come by for military people. I assure you, no salesman cares about your well being, only his commission. Hay! That is a sharp looking car. Drive it until the wheels fall off. I wish you the best in your military career.

Exactly, this is why someone like me tried to help him out. I gain nothing one way or another, but seeing our service man taken advantage off bug me a good deal.

TBCH, this leaves me 300$ per 2 weeks currently..
though still being in BCT, thats fine, not much to spend $$ on.
Then once im out, leaves me 350$ every 2 weeks, for 2 months.
after I hit 6 months, and go from PVT to PV2 it leaves me 400-450 every 2 weeks
after a year? 500-600 every 2 weeks as ill go from PV2 to PFC.

I am used to working and living on 200$ a week roughly prior, and that includes buying food. My old checks from before military went 200$, 60$ in gas, 75$ in food.

Cut out the 75$ in food, as I am a single soldier eating DFAC food, and when I can drive, parents have averaged 35-40MPG, vs the 17 my truck got, Ill be fine.

$$ is just an object, ill be fine.
200$ every 2 weeks im fine.

You'll do just fine. People with a drive to get ahead always do.

Too bad many young adults in this country have no desire to work hard and succeed in life, they are too busy wasting their time on bull [censored] and making up excuses.

Exactly. Tbch, insurance on this ain't bad either, 75$ a month? Truck was 125$ thru Allstate. Taking a drop there. Was looking into a jeep patriot, used, with 45k miles, wanted something more reliable, payments woulda been a tad cheaper, but not enough to really make a big impact. Plus the patriot mpgs were alot less. The biggest itch is having a new car, and not being able to drive as its against my leave orders. Lol.
