where do you think $75K price of the car comes from if not from the expensive specialized parts? We already know that the battery for this vehicle is NOT a commodity item. Besides, I am betting that it will need a trip to dealer or factory scan tool to tell the computer that he has replaced the battery and to input the new battery parameters in the ECM.

Next we will be helping him buy a good cheap brake rotor from Autozone for low low price of $299 each instead of only being $799 from the dealer

Ended up tracing it back to VW part number after discount 385$ + Tax, dealer price 340$

Expensive yes

but not over paid.


Vikas, sorry but if I can save money that's what I will do.
Why pay premium on something that I was able to find for half price.

And FYI a lot of parts for Porsche are not that expensive.

Sure if I can find it cheaper I will try

And no I'm not rich just lucky enough to own this car.

Sure is early to get the battery replaced. I would think the one it came with would last much longer. Especially with that price tag.

I was going to suggest that the OP consult VW because the Cayenne is built off the platform that also is used for the Touareg. They probably use the exact same battery spec, and any VW part is going to likely be at least somewhat cheaper than the same Porsche or Audi part, many times they hare substantially cheaper.

I didn't drive car for long and got discharged I guess that's what messed it up and its start/stop car it does shuts down engine here and there...


I was thinking that it will be that easy to look up Touareg VW but they don't share same power system

I cross referenced it with Audi A8 battery

According to Walmart's battery finder, their replacement battery is their EverStart H8 900 CCA battery - $120.

While I'm not 100% confident in their suggestion, the one good thing about Walmart is that they provide a 3 Years Free Replacement + 2 Years Prorated warranty.

Its not AGM battery

And the capacity is off...

Walmart was my 1st try after the Sears.

Anyways new battery ordered.
