New battery in 2016 F150, 2.7L EcoBoost

It’s been mighty cold around here lately. We’re seeing 0 - 20 degrees below zero. My truck started well, but was slow cranking. Then, I noticed weird alarms coming up on the information screen while or just after starting the truck. Replaced the OEM battery with a new Motorcraft. Truck runs and starts fine. No more phantom alarms. The battery was 10 years old.

Did great for 10 years. I imagine some modules got a low enough voltage to make them trigger it.

Wow. Great run!

My OG MC didn't make it five years and only had 55k on it. Moved to another brand with a tad more CCA.

Could be the large amount of things that run on electricity (seats, steering, lift gate, cameras, sensors, etc.), but results are results.

Let’s make that a 2016! I can tell you that it’s the only F150XL with leather seats! The driver’s seat cover was cloth so I had all of them covered with leather and added heat to the front seats. So maybe it does have some BMW blood.
