New automatic drip coffee maker needed..

received my kitchenaid KCM0801 + it works great, BUT when i brew a single cup about 11oz its hot enough but not as hot as a full pot + as noted fillng is a bit of a PITA so i have a cheapo pour over 40 oz container with the long skinny spout + a bigger lid that i can easily pour my premeasured water from the same size cup i drink from. its a bit taller but a similar footprint to typical auto drippers. time will tell if it was worth $150 compared to the B+D's now $50 i was using that lasted just over a year brewing 3 times daily with filtered decent water!!

The Cuisinart I bought I hated it, I hated the hassle of folding the cone filters, every time I made coffee, the carafe dripped everywhere every time I pour coffee, if I used, permanent filter, I got coffee grinds in my coffee.. That was the end of the Cuisinart!! Now I'm using a Mr Coffee that's programmable, it has the shower head feature. You can Brew a stronger pot from 1-4 cups. Makes a pretty good cup of coffee.. Whatever I end up buying will be a basket type filter. I happen to come across this, at a thrift shop. I ran a couple of Affresh's coffee cleaner through it, and it's been working fine.

BUNN Velocity Brew.

The one I bought 9 years ago is still going strong, and I use it daily.

Read about the differences between this and other coffeemakers and I think you’ll see, as I did, that, at $100 (or slightly more now) it’s the best value out there.
